I wanted to get some pix of other kids to post before I added a new post. So this past week, Michael really got into his studying for Seminary classes. The girls finished preparations and performed in a musical(Down by the Creekbank), and soccer season kicked off. Also, did I mention that Ben finished first for his team AGAIN(maybe it Wasn't a fluke) and knocked 24 seconds off his time. Ivy ran well in Niceville, but we think the scorers handed her the wrong popsicle stick. Hey, this is not the Olympics here!

We are hoping to stay in this area for several reasons: Michael finishing Seminary, Ben finishing braces, having a little continuity! However, the hunt for a house to BUY has been mostly fruitless. We had actually hoped to retire here someday, but I guess God has other plans. Don't you wish you could just get a sticky note telling you which choice to make?

Mike here, with a week's update.
My parents drove in from South Carolina: Papa Evan and Grandma Gwynne.
They got to see Ivy run two races and Ben run one.
I don't have pictures of our day on the ocean blue but Papa, Joel and I caught 20 fish.. King and Spanish Mackerel, a red fish and a flounder.

Ivy ran her first race on Wed with the middle school 2.1 miles in 14:30 chopping 59 sec off of last week. She finished 3rd WOW!! The second race was a 3.1 mile race with the JV girls from 17 schools in NW Florida as pictured she stopped to tie her shoes three times during the race she still finished 5th over all with a time of 25:15. Though she finished well ahead of over 40 other HIGH SCHOOL girls Ivy was not happy with this time. We will get new laces for her before her next race.

Ben shocked the high school boys varsity community by placing 6th over all with a time of 17:59. He expects to just get faster. We, as you can tell are very happy for them and will be keeping you up to date.

Ok, I am not very good at posting pictures. I thought I had posted a new pic of Michael sevearl days ago. Alsa, I do NOT like this font(or the selections). So, anyone who can give me some tips, PLEASE. Ivy ran for the first time OFFICIALLY on Wednesday last week. She previously competed for the middle school in Yokota unofficially. We are so proud of her continued perserverance. She finished first for her team, and 8th overall. Not bad considering she is a 6th grader. She is excited to beat her time.
